Marijuana was seized Tuesday just outside of Aurora by the Nebraska state Patrol. According to a release from the NSP, An Oregon man is under arrest after 55 ½ pounds of marijuana was seized from the SUV in which he was driving. On Tuesday evening, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2007 GMC Yukon on Interstate 80 for Following Too Close. The stop was made just west of the Henderson Interchange in Hamilton County, Nebraska. The trooper was given consent to search the vehicle. The search led to the seizure of 55 ½ lbs of marijuana. The marijuana was located in cardboard boxes and luggage in the cargo area of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Aaron B. Ballard, 27, of Bend, Oregon, was lodged in the Hamilton County Jail on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver. A female passenger in the vehicle was not arrested.
