Sioux City jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning against Lincoln starter Tim Brown (2-2). The Explorers scored their first run on a double steal, and added RBI hits by Ray Serrano and T.J. Bohn. Bohn added a two-run home run in the third inning, and Serrano hit an RBI double in the fifth.
Argelis Nunez went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Phil Hawke went 2-for-4 and scored both Lincoln runs, while Shawn McGill went 2-for-2 with a pair of walk.
