The disaster in the Gulf of Mexico is having little effect on the B-P Stations in Omaha. Steve Buchanan owns several in the Omaha-metro area and says the oil spill has sparked some concern from customers. He says the local stations received e-mails from concerned customers and all of those have been sent to company officials. However, there has been no talk by local customers about boycotting or protesting against B-P in the metro area. Buchanan says B-P is keeping in close contact with all their representatives about the situation. He says B-P sends daily e-mails about what is going on. They have provided a number for people to call if they are upset. Also, executives from B-P did fly into Omaha to talk to local owners of B-P stations and he assures everyone they are taking the situation seriously.
