The Lincoln Saltdogs walked off with a win over St. Paul Thursday, beating the Saints 5-4 at Haymarket Park. Lincoln improves to 15-10 on the season.
Lincoln Chris Thompson (2-0) ran into trouble in the ninth. Thompson walked three to load the bases with two out, and the Saints pulled to within a run on a fielder’s choice grounder where every runner was safe. Thompson then walked in the tying run, suffering his first blown save, before getting the final out and setting the stage for Dickey’s heroics.
Dickey finished the night 2-for-5 with two home runs and three runs scored. Brandon Jones and Argelis Nunez also had two hits apiece for the Saltdogs, who pounded out 12 hits on the night.
