Resources around the state continue to be stressed to the max as flooding continues to be a problem in a number of Nebraska communities. Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Assistant Director Al Berndt says this flooding topples records set in 19-93.
“In the ’93 floods they were saying at the peak that there was 80,000 cubic feet of water moving through the Platte River system…. they’re forecasting volumes of water much higher than that.”
The water is expected to reach it’s highest levels on Tuesday or Wednesday.
