Several companies in Norfolk are being affected as the only railroad bridge into the town is destroyed from the flood waters. Shelters will likely be opened up along the Platte and Missouri rivers after the Governor and other state officials took an aerial tour of the state and saw just how bad flooding is across the state. The Governor Spoke at an afternoon news conference.
“We don’t want to lose anyone because of a situation over a road, a highway, or a bridge you may encounter.”
If you are not being affected by the flooding, you are being asked to donate. The Red Cross and United Way are reaching out to the public for funding as they try to help families that have seen significant property damage from the flooding.
