The Lincoln Saltdogs dropped their second straight game to the Grand Prairie AirHogs losing losing 9-2 on Wednesday, thanks to a fast start.
The AirHogs scored six runs in the first two innings against Saltdogs starter Angel Castro (1-2). A throwing error by Lincoln led to three unearned runs in the first, and Grand Prairie scored three runs on two hits and a walk in the second.
The Saltdogs had their chances against AirHogs starter Ryne Tacker (2-1), but only managed a pair of runs. Gavin Dickey drove in a run on an RBI fielder’s choice in the third inning, and Roberto Alvarez hit a solo home run in the fifth, his first of the season.
