Governor Dave Heineman says the state wants to help get rail service restored in Norfolk. The Governor toured the Elkhorn valley by Helicopter Wednesday.
“You hear it, but until you see it, you just can’t believe it. I’m very, very concerned about that railroad line and its economic impact on the community.”
Governor Heineman says he was utterly amazed at the damage in the Norfolk area.
Heineman held a conference call with Norfolk officials to see how the state could be involved in replacing the railroad bridge that failed on Tuesday.
