Caleb Bushyhead homered and drove in the winning run, and Jeremy Erben and Ryan Duke pitched out of bases-loaded jams to lead Oklahoma to a 4-3 victory over South Carolina in the only game played on Sunday at the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium.
The start of the game was delayed over four hours, then lightning delayed the game a couple of more hours in the sixth inning, moving the the Clemson-Arizona State game to 10am Monday morning.
South Carolina to within one run after after Duke walked Jackie Bradley on four pitches with the bases loaded in the ninth, but Duke got Adrian Morales to fly out to end the game for his 12th save.
Garrett Bueschele’s 17th homer of the season gave the Sooners a two run lead in the bottom of the eighth. The Sooners will play the winner of the Clemson, Arizona State game next.
