Day four of the College World Series was affected by weather once again as the Clemson-Oklahoma game was suspended after five innings with the Tigers leading 6-1. That game will resume Wednesday at 3:30 prior to the TCU-Florida State elimination game.
In the first game of the day, South Carolina finally had some things go their way in an 11-4 win over Arizona State sending the Sun Devils home. The Gamecocks jumped to an early lead thanks to an eight run, second inning.
Jackie Bradley and Adrian Morales homered during that big inning, knocking out the No. 1 national seed. It was the first time this season that Arizona State has lost two games in a row and just the third time in 22 appearances at the College World Series, where they go home without a win.
The Gamecocks (49-16) play either Oklahoma or Clemson on Thursday in another elimination game. South Carolina starter Sam Dyson (6-5) allowed two runs through seven innings, then was relieved by Matt Price after allowing two runs in the eighth.
