Nebraska Cornhusker fans will either have to be at Memorial Stadium, or shell out some money as an announcement is made yesterday about the first two home football games of the season. The university announced that these games will be on television, but it will be pay-per-view.
The September fourth opener against Western Kentucky will kick off at 6:00 in the evening. The September 11th game against Idaho will kick off at 11:30 in the morning. Both of these games will be produced by Big 12 Special Order Sports.
The pay-per-view broadcasts will be available on participating cable systems throughout the state, as well as on satellite television.
The university also says that the September 25th home game against South Dakota State could also be television on pay-per-view. This will be the case if the game is not selected by one of the Big 12’s television partners.
Other Husker games set for national TV are the September 18th game at Washington, October 7th at Kansas State and November 26th against Colorado.
