Johanns met with about 20 area officials Monday afternoon during a meeting at the Norfolk Area Chamber Commerce. Prior to that, he toured the area of the Nebraska Central Railroad bridge southwest of the city that fell into the Elkhorn River after its pilings gave way. A Railroad employee, Jeff Scholl, died when he fell into the river as the bridge collapsed.
