Michael Rose, a 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker from Rockhurst High School in Kansas City became the first player to commit to Nebraska’s class of 2012. Thirteen players are committed to the Huskers’ 2011 class, but Rose didn’t need to wait any longer.
After getting a good vibe from Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini and Husker linebackers coach Mike Ekeler, Rose knew this would be the best move and he’s making no plans of changing his mind.
At a summer camp up at NU a couple of weeks ago, Rose ran a 4.75-second 40-yard dash. He was a starter last year as a sophomore and as a freshmen for a few games and can play all three linebacker spots.
