A home run off the bat of Jai Miller in the sixth inning would be the difference as the Omaha Royals get a 4-3 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes, and a split last night in a double header at Rosenblatt Stadium. The Isotopes won the first game 8-4.
After the Isotopes jumped out to a 2-0 lead, the Royals would get back in the game in the fourth on a RBI single off the bat of Scott Throman. They would tie the score later in the innings thanks to a wild pitch from Isotopes pitcher Charles Haegar.
The Isotopes would again take the lead in the fifth, but the Royals would again tie the game on a wild pitch from Haegar that would score Marc Maddox.
In the first game, the Isotopes would again strike first and jump out to a 4-0 lead. Kila Ka’aihue would hit a two run homer in the fourth to get within two, but that would be as close as the Royals would get.
Game four of the series is tonight with Manauris Baez getting the start for the Royals against the Isotopes Alberto Bastardo.
Game time is 7:05.
