The Lincoln Saltdogs lost 8-6 to Sioux Falls, falling to 2-5 in the second half. Lincoln had the bases loaded with nobody out in two separate innings, and only scored three runs in those two innings.
The Saltdogs loaded the bases in the second inning with nobody out against Pheasants starter Ryan Shaver who is now 6-0, but managed just one run on an RBI single by Albenis Machado. A strikeout and a double play, ended the threat. They loaded the bases with nobody out again in the seventh inning, trailing 7-2. A Rafael Alvarez single scored one run, but Lincoln hit into a double play, scoring a second run , but Lincoln left the inning still trailing by three.
Lincoln heads to Wichita for a three game series with the Wingnuts.
