Richard Schneider, a two-time Class C champion from West Point-Beemer birdied the last three holes to beat Lincoln’s Bryce Brown by one stroke in the Nebraska Junior Amateur tournament at the Wayne Country Club.
Schneider came back from down three in the final round to win, getting red hot on the back nine where he shot 30 with six birdies and three pars. The soon to be Colorado State Ram, finished the 54 hole tournament with a -5, 208. Brown who will golf at KU, finished with 209. Zach Taylor of Omaha shot 66 in the final round and finished third.
