Nashville took the final three games of their series with the Omaha Royals, coasting to an 8-2 victory on Sunday evening after jumping off to a quick start against Royals starter Manauris Baez gave up seven runs in the first three innings on eight hits and two walks to suffer the loss.
Nashville Sounds starter Sam Narron (5-3), allowed just two runs in seven innings to get the win. Royals shortstop Ed Lucas continued to swing a hot bat going 3-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored. Lucas is batting .331 on the year.
Omaha plays the first of their four-game series in Memphis against the Redbirds on Monday night at 7:05 CDT. They are 1.5 games behind the Redbirds who are tied for first with Iowa.
