The Lincoln Saltdogs let a late game lead slip away as it turned into a disappoint 10-9 loss at Sioux Falls. The Dogs led most of the game, and had a 9-6 lead in the bottom of the eighth.
Sioux Falls, led off the inning with an infield hit, a walk and a hit batter to load the bases. Another hit batter made it 9-7. Beau Torbert then chopped a single to center, scoring two to tie the game. With one out and runners on the corners, a sacrifice fly to drive in the winning run.
The two teams play the finale of their three-game series Tuesday night at 7:05. Right-hander Jim Paduch will take the mound for the Saltdogs.
