A Nebraska bank robbery suspect was arrested last night near Hankinson, North Dakota.
Fifty-seven-year-old Edward Corey was taken into custody near the Dakota Magic Casino. Law enforcement was on the lookout after a nationwide crime alert indicated Corey liked gambling halls. Casino security spotted his car in the parking lot.
Richland County Chief Deputy Gary Ruhl says deputies followed Corey’s car as he left and he was taken into custody without any trouble. Ruhl says Corey was pulled over on a township road not long after he left the casino.
The crime alert indicated Corey was armed and dangerous but Ruhl says no weapons were found. An undetermined amount of money, believed to have been taken in the hold-up of a bank in South Sioux City, Nebraska, was recovered.
