Any NFL player will tell you that after the first day of training camp, not one player will go through the season ever at 100%, but for the Denver Broncos, injuries are depleting their team so much, they’ve cancelled practices until Tuesday.
The Broncos have a dozen injuries they’ve been hit with, the biggest coming from linebacker Elvis Dumervil who is out with a torn chest muscle that’s expected to sideline him for the season. According to the Denver Post, Dumervil is scheduled for surgery Tuesday.
Denver had more bad news when top draft pick Demaryius Thomas apparently injured his left foot on Saturday night. It was the same one he broke during predraft workouts and underwent tests Sunday, but the injury wasn’t serious. Things just never started well for the Broncos who lost their top two tailbacks on the first day of training camp. In fact, LenDale White who was signed two days after the injuries got hurt himself.
