The Lincoln Saltdogs came up flat against the Shreveport-Bossier Captains Tuesday night at Haymarket Park losing 8-3. Lincoln falls to 46-40 on the season, and holds a two game lead in the wildcard standings.
The Saltdogs took the lead on an RBI single in the first inning by Argelis Nunez. Shreveport-Bossier took the lead in the second inning with a pair of runs against Lincoln starter Chris Cullen (4-5). The Captains then poured it on, scoring four in the third. Shreveport-Bossier added two runs in the sixth innings against the bullpen for an 8-1 lead. Lincoln scored two in the seventh inning on a two-run double by Rafael Alvarez.
