Lincoln’s Jim White won his record 12th Nebraska PGA Professional Championship in a rain-shortened finish Tuesday at Quarry Oaks. They had 27 holes scheduled yesterday, but tournament officials canceled the final 18 holes. White finished the 36 hole tournament with a 134, Tom Hearn was second with a 136.
The rain hampered the golfers all day as it took five and a half hours to get the nine holes in. At one point, White double bogeyed and lost his two shot lead, but on the fifth hole, Hearn bogeyed and White birdied the sixth to regain the lead and never look back.
