The Lincoln Saltdogs lost 10-6 at St. Paul on Sunday dropping two out of three in this series. Lincoln was in position to pull out the win, until the bottom of the eighth inning.
The Saltdogs were up 6-4 going but Lincoln reliever Adam Daniels (6-5) walked the first four batters he faced to bring in a run and one out later the game was tied on an RBI single. Nolan Chestnut then gave up a two-run single, and a third run scored when a throw to third got away. One more single capped a six-run inning for the Saints, and the Saltdogs were unable to respond in the ninth.
Lincoln now heads to Sioux Falls for a three-game series that begins Monday night at 7:05. Right-hander Chris Cullen is scheduled to take the mound for the Saltdogs.
