It was literally old school for the fourth ranked Husker volleyball team. 11th ranked Iowa State had to host the Huskers at Ames High School as Hilton Coliseum is repaired after summer floods in Iowa. Regardless of the venue, the crowd was loud, but the Huskers fought through for a 3-1 win over the Cyclones.
Game scores were (25-22, 24-26, 25-23, 28-26) as the Huskers moved to 11-0 under coach John Cook in Big 12 openers. Lindsey Licht led the Huskers with 15 kills and seven blocks, Brooke Delano had seven kills and seven blocks and Tara Mueller added her third double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs. Sydney Anderson and Lauren Cook had 26 assists each with three Huskers totaled double-digits kills.
The Huskers will now prepare for their Big 12 home opener against Colorado on Saturday at the NU Coliseum at 7 p.m.
