After giving up their first goals of the season and losing in double overtime on Friday to 18th ranked SMU, the 16th ranked Creighton men’s soccer team scored a 3-2 overtime win over Dartmouth in the final game of the Grand Prairie Classic held in Peoria, Illinois.
Jose Gomez scored a point in his sixth consecutive match, scoring the game-winning goal. The Jays bounced back to improve to 5-1-0 on the season. According to gocreighton.com, the Jays won their first overtime game since the 2008 NCAA Tournament (2-1 over Connecticut).
Gomez is the first Bluejay to record at least one point in six straight matches since Brian Biggerstaff acheived that feat during the 2004 season.
