After their 11th straight conference win, a 31-9 final over Mesa State, the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers moved up four spots to 19th in the latest Division II coaches poll. Wayne State who lost to #2 Minnesota Duluth dropped out of the top 25. In the D2Football.com poll the Lopers moved up from 21st to 16th.
The Lopers took control of the game early on scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter. Mesa State opened with a nice drive, but had a 35 yard field goal attempt blocked. UNK forced several three and outs and held Mesa State to 150 total yards.
A late first half interception led to a short field for the Lopers who added their final touchdown late in the second quarter.
