The Creighton men’s soccer team retained its No. 16 ranking in this week’s NSCAA poll. The Bluejays suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend, but the loss was to 18th ranked SMU who jumped nine spots in this week’s rankings.
Creighton rebounded from its 3-2 overtime loss to the Mustangs, to post a 3-2 overtime win against Dartmouth at the Grand Prairie Classic in Peoria, Ill.
The Bluejays, who are now 5-1-0 on the season, kept their No. 14 ranking from Soccer America as well, which is their highest ranking in the national polls. The Jays moved up a spot from No. 19 to No. 18 in the College Soccer News Top 30 and moved from No. 20 to No. 18 in the Soccer Times rankings.
The 16th-ranked Bluejays open a four-game home stand on Friday night when they play host to Wisconsin. Kickoff at Morrison Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
