More than 40 pounds of Marijuana is off the streets thanks to the Nebraska State Patrol. 44 pounds of marijuana was seized in three separate traffic stops over the weekend. A release from the Nebraska State Patrol says a state trooper noticed the smell of marijuana coming from a car in the parking lot of a Lincoln convenience store and found nearly 37 pounds of pot in the trunk. The driver and his passenger were arrested. The State patrol says nearly 4 pounds of pot was found in the trunk of a car stopped Sunday morning by a trooper on Interstate 80 in Lincoln. Two people were sent to jail. On Friday, a traffic stop on I-80 near Aurora netted three more pounds of pot and one arrest.
