Governor Dave Heineman and Other education officials are making several stops around the state to encourage high school students to take a college tour. Nebraska University President J.B. Millikan says a high school diploma just won’t cut it anymore.
“They can see a campus, tour facilities, talk to advisors, students, and faculty find out what kinds of programs are available and what type of college or university they are comfortable with.”
Millikan is joining Governor Dave Heineman and other education officials on a fly around of the state today to talk about the importance of visiting a college campus. It’s been shown those who take a college tour are much more likely to seek higher education.
