The 13th ranked Creighton Bluejays men’s soccer team will host two tough non-conference matches, starting with 7th ranked Tulsa tonight at 7 p.m. The Jays then host seven time national champion Indiana on Saturday at 6 p.m. as part of Creighton Homecoming activities.
Creighton defeated Eastern Illinois 1-0 last Friday in Omaha to open Missouri Valley Conference play. Jose Gomez scored the lone goal of the contest in the 81st minute.
Creighton is off to its second 7-1-0 start in the last three years and has not allowed a goal in its first four home matches this season. The Jays are aiming for their first 8-1-0 start since 1998. The Bluejays rank fourth in the NCAA in shutout percentage (.750), posting six shutouts in their first eight matches, and rank 17th in the nation in goals against average (0.60).
