The 11th ranked Creighton men’s soccer loss for the first time at home to seven time NCAA Champion Indiana 3-2. The Jays played the second half shorthanded after their star player Jose Gomez drew a red card in the first half. Gomez will miss next Saturday’s game against conference favorite Evansville as the Jays go on the road for the next four games. The CU men are now 5-1. Ethan Finlay, who scored in the game is the first Bluejay to crack the top-10 in career goals since Mike Tranchilla ended his career second in CU history with 55 goals in 2002.
Brittney Neumann scored twice as the Creighton women’s soccer team won its eighth straight match, extending its longest winning streak since 1994, with a 3-0 win over Evansville on Saturday afternoon at Morrison Stadium. Creighton improved to 10-2-2 on the season and is alone in first in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 3-0-0 league mark. Evansville fell to 3-8-1 (0-2-0 MVC) on the season.
