Governor Dave Heineman is pleased with the latest tax receipt numbers that he says are higher than expectations.
“For the secodn month in a row receipts have met projections, this is an encouraging sign. More importantly, receipts from July through September are higher than the same period of time last year.”
The Governor says we beat projections for the month of September by one million dollars. Heineman says when you combine that with the recent drop in unemployment, there are signs that the economy may be turning the corner.
