A Texas man is jailed after a traffic stop on Interstate 80

October 12, 2010 By Nebraska Radio Network Contributor

Just before 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 9, 2010, a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol Troop C Headquarters-Grand Island stopped an eastbound, white, 2009 Toyota Tacoma pickup for failure to signal near the I-80 Giltner Interchange. The trooper observed signs of marijuana usage and a probable cause search led to the seizure of 145 lbs. of marijuana. The marijuana located beneath a topper in the bed of the pickup was individually packaged and contained in 7 duffle bags.

The driver and lone occupant of the pickup, Bryan P. Malone, 48, Alvin, Texas, was lodged in the Hamilton County Jail on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver.
