A warning from the Better Business Bureau… be careful when doing business with ticket broker “Husker Nation Seats”. BBB President and CEO Jim Hegarty says they have received at least six complaints bout the company not delivering tickets that were purchased.
“They did contact us and indicated that they would begin to try to contact the customers that have tried to reach them over the past several months.”
Hegarty says that is why the BBB issued this warning regarding the Omaha ticket broker. He says the company failed to respond to almost all complaints that tickets bought through them were never delivered. Customers were also told refunds were not Husker Nation’s concern. When threatened with a Consumer Alert, Hegarty says the company then started to contact customers who filed complaints.
“Husker Nation did in fact reach a few of these consumers advising them they would need to dispute the charges with other entities than themselves.”
Husker Nation representatives told customers they would have to go through their credit card company to obtain refunds.
“We are really not sure what is at the heart of the issue and why Husker Nation is unable to provide refunds.”
Hegarty says there have been other complaints about the company on the other end.
“They have indicated their merchant processing accounts have been frozen and at least one of the vendors that had been providing services to them had terminated Husker Nation’s license.”
Hegarty says in one instance a person in Utah bought 10 tickets through Husker Nation to the Lion King in Salt Lake City. They never received the tickets or a refund of the two-thousand dollars charged to their credit card
