Nebraska Republican Treasurer candidate Don Stenberg cites his 16 years of government management experience to show why he should be elected. He was questioned about criticisms from his opponent that he is really gearing up for higher office such as the future senate race.
“On the Senate race…I think we need to replace Ben Nelson as our U.S. Senator I dont think he has properly represented the people of Nebraska, He totally ingnored their wishes on the health care bill. I think our strongest candidate on the U.S. Senate would be Governor Dave Heineman.”
And Stenberg says he will continue to encourage Heineman to run for that office. Stenberg also disagrees with those who think eliminating the treasurer’s office would save money. Voters will decide that issue on election day.
