Nebraska’s sophomore soccer star Morgan Marlborough was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, and sophomore Jordan Jackson earned a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team. The sophomore duo leads the Huskers into this week’s Big 12 Championship in San Antonio as No. 3 Nebraska takes on No. 6 Missouri, the two time defending Big 12 champions tomorrow at 2 p.m.
Marlborough ended the regular season in the Big 12 ranked No. 1 in with 44 points, 16 goals and 12 assists to make her the first player in league history to lead the conference in all three categories. Morgan’s 44-point total was 15 more than any other player in the Big 12 and ranks second in the NCAA.
