Center Christian Standhardinger had his first double-double, 20 points and a career best 11 rebounds as the Huskers shot 70% in the second half on their way to an 83-40 win over Arkansas Pine Bluff. Junior college transfer Caleb Walker had 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Huskers jumped out to a 14-3 lead, but then went on a drought scoring just four points in a nine minute span, but NU used some solid defense to shut down APB allowing only two field goals over the final 18 minutes of the half, including a stretch of 12:48 without a field goal.
The Huskers head to Puerto Rico on Tuesday for the Puerto Rico Tip Off. Nebraska opens tournament play on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. (Central) against Vanderbilt.
