The Husker proved that without Taylor Martinez, they could get creative and still find plenty of ways to put points on the board. They did that in Friday’s Big 12 North clinching win over Colorado, 45-17.
Rex Burkhead did a little bit of everything, rushing for 101 yards on 19 carries and how about his first two pass attempts? Good for touchdowns…a 26 yarder to Brandon Kinnie late in the first half which made the score 17-3 and then his four yarder to Kyler Reed following Cody Hawkins’ second interception which made the score 31-10.
The offensive production was certainly enough against a team like Colorado, as Cody Green did a great job with his opportunity to start for the injured Martinez, but will it be enough against a team like Oklahoma?
