Kenny Lawson Jr. had career-highs with 30 points and 18 rebounds, and Ethan Wragge had a career-high 22 points for Creighton on Saturday night in an 82-75 victory over Saint Joseph’s. Creighton snapped a three-game losing streak, improving to 5-4 on the year.
Lawson had 30 points and 18 rebounds, both career-highs. His 18 rebounds were a Qwest Center Omaha record and the most by a Bluejay since at least 1994. He also added three blocked shots. Wragge finished with a career-best 22 points after entering the night with 13 points in five games to date. Creighton shot 49.1 percent for the game (27-55) and made 9-of-24 three-pointers (37.5 percent). The Jays also had 17 assists, three blocks and three steals while also making 19-of-23 free throws (82.6 percent).
