Nebraska U.S. Senator Mike Johanns is responding to a Virginia judges decision that it is unconstitutional to force everyone to buy health insurance. Johanns says forcing people to buy health insurance could lead to other mandates.
“The Federal Government could under the Commerce clause…make a finding that it is in the best interest of the nation that people eat beef twice a day or that they not eat beef twice a day.”
Johanns thinks the issue will eventually end up in the Supreme court.
