With sophomore Baker Steinkuhler serving a one-game suspension for his DUI arrest, the sophomore will miss the Holiday Bowl game against Washington. That will open an opportunity for Terrance Moore who has 14 tackles in Nebraska’s last 12 games.
In the Big 12 championship game against Oklahoma, Moore deflected a pass that Courtney Osborne intercepted, setting up a touchdown.
Another player who has stepped up on the defensive line is third-year sophomore Cameron Meredith who has blossomed in his first season as a starter for the Huskers. He’s fourth on the team with 60 tackles, fourth with eight for a loss and tied for second with 10 quarterback hurries.
