The UNO indoor track and field team is ranked fourth in the annual pre-season rankings released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Tuesday. The ranking come out in advance of the start of UNO’s indoor season which begins on Friday, Jan. 14 at the Holiday Inn Invitational hosted by Nebraska.
UNO is the two-time defending indoor champion in the MIAA.
UNO returns two individual national champions who helped the school to a fourth-place finish at the 2010 indoor championship. Senior short distance specialist Anja Puc won the 800 meters both indoors and outdoors last season and is the school record holder in the event. Nkeiruka Domike was the indoor national champion in the triple jump with a school-record leap of 42-2 1/4.
