Defensive back Eric Hagg has been added to the North roster for the 2011 Senior Bowl and will join five of his teammates in the premier college football all-star game this Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.
Nebraska now has six players in the game, the most of any school sending players to the game. Joining Hagg on the North roster are Pierre Allen, Roy Helu Jr., Alex Henery, Mike McNeill and Niles Paul. Cornerback Prince Amukamara was also invited to play in the game, but decided not to play.
Hagg was voted by his teammates as the Team MVP for the 2010 Huskers leading a defense that finished in the top five nationally in passing yards allowed and pass efficiency defense, while also ranking in the top 12 in total defense and scoring defense.
Hagg finished the season with a team-high five interceptions and had 49 tackles, including 39 solo stops. He was chosen as a first-team All-Big 12 choice by both the Big 12 coaches and the Associated Press.
