The No. 16 Nebraska wrestling team fell to the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners on Friday night, 17-16, in Norman Okla. The Huskers weren’t able to keep a hold of the lead after dropping the next five matches to fall behind, 17-6. At 125-pounds, David Klingsheim fell to No. 7 Jarrod Patterson by decision, 5-0, before Ridge Kiley was defeated by No. 19 Jordan Keller in a tight, 4-2, battle.

In the last match of the dual, No. 13 Josh Ihnen broke his two-match losing streak by defeating No. 17 Erich Schmidke by major decision, 8-0. The major decision victory wasn’t enough to close the gap on the Sooners as the Huskers fell by the score of 17-16.
The Huskers return to action on Sunday, when they take on the No. 7 Missouri Tigers at 1 p.m., in Columbia.
