Megan Becker reached the 1,000 point milestone, as the Nebraska-Kearney women’s basketball team upset Colorado Christian, 83-74, Friday night at the Health & Sports Center.
Becker scored 21 points, thanks to 8 of 15, shooting, pulled down boards and handed out a team-high seven assists. She became the 21st UNK women’s basketball player to reach 1,000 points (now 1,013) with a bucket late in the first half.
#6 Wayne State College women dropped their first game in NSIC play this season at Concordia–St.Paul Saturday afternoon as the Wildcats fell 91-57. The Golden Bears shot 62.5 percent from the three point line going 10 of 16 and 8 of 9 from three point land in the second half. The loss drops the Wildcats to 17-2 overall and 14-1 in the conference.
