The Health Care reform bill’s mandate that everyone carry health insurance is leading to a ruling from a judge that the health care law is unconstitutional. Nebraska and 25 other states joined in a lawsuit against the health care mandate. Attorney General Jon Bruning released the following statement.
“This decision confirms that this law was an unconstitutional expansion of power by Congress,” said Bruning. “The fight for individual liberty has prevailed.”
The judge’s ruling explained that it was unconstitutional for Congress to enact a health care law that requires all Americans to obtain insurance.
Six state’s joined the suit in just the last month.
