First-team All-American Brooke Delano will miss the Nebraska volleyball team’s spring preseason after undergoing shoulder surgery. She should be back in time for the start of the season for her senior year.
Delano was just the fourth player in NU history to hit .400 or better in a season. She led the Big 12 with 1.42 blocks per set. Delano averaged 2.73 kills per set last year as well, but as her shoulder worsened her numbers started to drop.
She averaged over a full kill less per set and her hitting percentage went down to .193 hitting in Nebraska’s final five matches.
