Did you pay tax to the state of Nebraska on your internet purchases? Lincoln Senator Ken Haar says you need to pull out your receipts. He says the State of Nebraska is losing out big, because people are not reporting their internet purchases for purposes of paying state taxes.
“It could make te difference between underfunding public schools and giving them the funding they need.”
Of 1.8 million Nebraskans, only about 200 reported internet purchases on their Nebraska state taxes last year. Haar says we are losing out on $118 million tax dollars.
