Marvin Sanders resigned Thursday as Nebraska’s secondary coach, which was speculated after Indiana coach Kevin Wilson said Wednesday that Corey Raymond, one of his assistants, was headed to Lincoln to coach the Husker secondary.
The reasons for Sanders leaving do not appear to be team related.
Sanders is the second Husker assistant to leave this offseason. Linebackers coach Mike Ekeler announced in December he was leaving to take the co-defensive coordinator job at Indiana.
It looks like Bo Pelini will turn to Ohio assistant Ross Els to become the linebackers coach. Els worked with Carl Pelini at Ohio and was on Barney Cotton’s staff at Hastings College in the mid 90’s.
