Creighton moved its winning streak to five games after a 60-50 win over Evansville at D.J. Sokol Arena Saturday afternoon. The win wraps up a 4-0 home stand for the Bluejays.
Creighton was led by a trio of players in double figures, including Kelsey Woodard’s game-high 16 points. Woodard scored 10 of her game-high 16 points in the second half, finishing 3-of-7 from three-point range and 5-of-6 at the free throw line. Sam Schuett scored 11 of her 15 points in the second half, as both she and Woodard played all 20 minutes after halftime. Schuett led all players with eight rebounds. Nelson finished with 14 points, six rebounds and a career-high three blocked shots.
